Summers @ Heartbeat
I love summertime at Heartbeat! Beginning this Wednesday, June 4th, we will be meeting outside at the big blue and white Summerwood tent. We still meet from 6:30-8pm and you can be dropped off and picked up at the tent.

What should you expect at Heartbeat this summer? We usually start off with some free time . . . talking, throwing frisbees or footballs, playing basketball or just goofing around. Once we get started, Al usually has a crazy game for us to play. Al- I think we need a round of steal the bacon sometime soon to break in the new 7th graders! After some game time, we often have a time of singing and then a lesson from one of the staff.

There are usually a few surprises thrown in here or there, so make sure you show up and stay connected this summer! This is a great time to get to know the staff and other students. Hope to see you there!

Busy Weekend!
Hey, it's Keri again. What a crazy weekend! Friday night was Mission Impossible. The pizza was good, the pop was good, and I hear the fish were good too! Brandon brought the Word to us talking about the scars he got trying to impress a girl and more importantly the scars Christ received on our behalf to give us hope and new life.

Game time . . . a couple leaders mentioned how good you guys are getting at Mission Impossible. You all dress the part and are learning some hard core battle strategies. It was awesome having the new 6th graders there! We're really looking forward to getting to know you all better this summer. Anyway, I had a great time hiding in the wooded area behind Summerwood with Chelsey Wheeler. I think my favorite moment was when Dave Bodrie blew his whistle so loud it sent a kid running . . . right into this thick web of tree branches that Chelsey and I were hiding behind. It kinda looked like he was just hanging there in the branches. Chelsey and I let him go because we were laughing so hard!

After a long night, many of you were up and at em Saturday morning for the car wash. I heard that you guys washed 96 cars! Hopefully, you all wore sunscreen. Brandon had a nasty burn on the tops of his feet.

Then, some of you had to head back to the church Sunday night for Kentucky training. Hope the training is going well. I so miss going on the KY trip with you guys. I just know you are going to have a great time and grow so much while you're there. I'm going to want a full report when you get back!
